Applying to any new school can be a daunting process, but our Admissions team is here to help you. The following steps will assist you in better understanding our admissions process.
APPLICATION
With limited openings for each academic year, we encourage you to submit your application early.
Please note that your application will be considered only if we have seats available. To understand our school vacancy, please get in touch with our admissions team.
- Citizenship/Residency.
- Children of Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan residents (priority is given to children of Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan residents who work and live in the Qianhai Cooperation Zone);
- Children holding foreign passports, with one of the parents holding the foreign passport (priority is given to children of foreigners who work and live in the Qianhai Cooperation Zone);
- Specifically, children of Hong Kong residents include the following three categories:
- Category 1: One of the parents and the child are Hong Kong Permanent Residents;
- Category 2: One of the parents is a resident of mainland China who has obtained a Hong Kong resident identity (Hong Kong non-permanent resident) through the Hong Kong SAR Government’s Quality Migrant Admission Scheme, Admission Scheme for Mainland Talents and Professionals or similar schemes, with the child being a resident of mainland China holding a dependent visa issued by the Hong Kong Immigration Department;
- Category 3: The child is a Hong Kong Permanent Resident born in Hong Kong, with both parents being residents of mainland China.
- Language. The successful applicant must demonstrate a sufficient amount of Chinese and English to access the curriculum.
- Special Educational Needs. Parents of students who have special educational needs should consult with the school admissions office to ensure that the school has the resources available to serve their children before applying for admission or arriving in Harrow Hong Kong Children School, Shenzhen Qianhai does not have the facilities or faculty required to educate children with severe learning needs.
- Process for Admissions. The process of admission is dependent on the applicant’s age. Families should contact the school admissions office for detailed information regarding the application process.
ASSESSMENT AND INTERVIEW
- Once we receive your applications with all required documents, we will reach out to schedule assessments and interviews within 1 week.
- Admissions assessment and interview requirements are different according to the year groups. Please refer to the table below to understand our assessment and interview requirements.

ADMISSIONS RESULT
- You will hear the admissions result usually within 2 weeks after the assessments and interviews. However, it might take a longer process for specific cases. Please be in touch with our admissions officer for updates.
- Parents need to pay the deposit and fill in confirmation documents within 5 working days after receiving an offer. Otherwise, the place may be offered to the other students.
ADMISSIONS POLICY
- The School strictly abides by all applicable national laws and regulations, and/or the relevant Education Bureau policies, when handling admissions and enrolment matters.
- Our enrolment and admissions processes are open and transparent. All admissions decisions are firmly underpinned by these principles.
- Under no circumstances will the School authorise any third party agency or individual to commit or provide any form of guarantee of the successful enrolment of a student.
- All fees must be paid through bank remittance. No other methods of payment are accepted. For the avoidance of doubt, we do not accept payment by cash.
