On 10 November, 2023, the Harrow Hong Kong Children School Shenzhen Qianhai has held its first open day of the school term.
During the open day, our founding School Head Dr John Tan had an in-person sharing with parents. With Dr Tan’s over 20 years of teaching experience and valuable insights from running Band 1 schools in Hong Kong SAR, he generously shared his professional opinion on the Hong Kong DSE pathway, and answered burning questions from parents regarding the school’s curriculum and unique pedagogy.
On the other hand, Visual Art teacher Miss Chao Ying has brought classic art to life in an accessible way. By explaining the creative concepts and making process of art pieces, parents had a glimpse into the unique HHKCS pedagogy, and showcased the school’s deep commitment to the arts and multiculturalism. Our 20 student ambassadors had done an exceptional job in leading parents and visitors to tour around the campus. During the school tour, not only did they introduce the school’s unique features and facilities confidently, but they were also able to share their personal experience comfortably in three languages. Their captivating presentations during the campus tours made a lasting impression on parents. Our young leaders were more than just our school tour guides; we are proud to witness them embodying the ethos of the school, representing the schools as role models. Looking ahead, the school is committed to offering more opportunities for students to excel and thrive.
